After the tragedy of last January 18 Piazza Antonello only statements of fact, but the city administration has remained motionless. A support is resp. Executive of the municipal welfare PD, Henry Pistorino that after the second victim, this time in Piazza Cairoli, returns to ask for urgent action. Following the tragic events of last January Piazza Antonello - Pistorino states - the Democratic Party had asked the City Council to convene all the charities and voluntary associations that deal with homeless and immigrants, in order to seek an agreed solution through the instrument of conciliation.
Councillor Aliberti had promised action after the death of Sri Lankan, but nothing has been done and now we are left with another homeless dead probably for the same reasons, starvation and cold. Today
responsible for social policies, Enrico Pistorino, today announced that the Municipal Executive of PD takes the initiative by convening all the groups, institutions and associations involved in the search for solutions to be discussed at the town administration.
We're not going to look - Pistorino says - while they continue to happen made of this generally because we are convinced that the opposition should be forward solutions and proposals as much as possible shared in society. Therefore, we invite all those who, individual or group dealing with the homeless in Messina, to want to discuss the issue and to draft a proposal that is based on the experience of those engaged daily in the fight against poverty.
The meeting will be held Saturday, February 28 at 10:00 am at the Hall Commissions of the Province of Messina .
